The FID Materials Science Material Guide is online and can be accessed via the FID Portal or directly via the link: https://www.materials-science.info/en/material-guide.
In our Material Guide you can search for databases with material properties, especially if they are currently not listed in the Material Hub.
The databases are categorised into six material groups (metals, polymers, non-metallic inorganic materials, bio-based materials, composite materials and advanced materials). It is possible to filter for databases that are available free of charge. In the case of commercial databases, a link to the DBIS entry is provided, if available. You can use this to check whether your institute has a licence for the database. In addition, the Material Guide lists important print reference works that you can obtain, for example, from TIB Dokumentenlieferung.
